Girls Softball

We have our Spring registration ready to go on the website but the fees need to be
voted on at this Sunday's Board meeting. If approved, our Spring registration will
go live on Monday, 12/15 at www.westsidelittleleague.org.
We are also planning to have 2 walk in registrations at the East Bradford
Township Building on Copeland School Rd. I believe they're planned for
1/10 & 1/17 but don't hold me to it.
We plan to have "Accepting Registrations for ALL ESLL Softball Players" on the front page & we are having our Webmaster amend the boundary map for softball to include WS, ESA & ESN addresses. Registrants are supposed to go to the boundary map to verify they live in the charter territory before they register.
East Side Little League offers softball for girls ages 7 through 12. Our main spring season runs from Mid April through mid June. Our aim is player development at all ages and levels. We play a District 28 League Schedule and offer the following specific programs:
- Instructional - League Ages 7 & 8 - Coach Pitch - This level emphasis teaching the girls the fundamentals of batting base running & fielding. Player Commitment is one practice & one game per week.
- Minors - League Ages 9 & 10 - This level introduces the girls to pitching and to District Tournament play for the first time. At this level, the goal is to balance player development especially pitching skills with fielding competitive teams. The girls play under modified pitching rules, which means that the girls pitch during the regular season until they reach four balls on a batter at which time a coach will pitch. Player Commitment is on average one practice & two games per week.
- Majors - League Ages 11 & 12 - A higher level of District wide Softball, which includes one hundred percent pitching and District Tournament. Player Commitment is on average one practice & two games per week.
